Pro tip: I chose a cheap grow light over a fancy one for my indoor herbs
It was either a $30 basic LED panel or a $150 'full spectrum' model with a timer. I went cheap, and my basil in the kitchen window still got leggy after 3 weeks. Has anyone else had better luck with a specific budget light brand?

My friend's cheap light fried her parsley, but her second one worked great.

Ugh, why do the cheap ones always seem to run so hot? I had to get a little fan to blow across the top of my seedlings after my first light made them all droopy, kind of like what happened to @grant.sam's basil. Moving it a few inches higher made a huge difference too.

Hah, that's rough. My first grow light tried to cook my basil, so I feel her pain.
