That week in July when my greenhouse hit 120 degrees and I lost half my seedlings

I came back from a 3 day trip to find my temp gauge pegged at 120. My tomato starts were wilted into brown sticks, the basil was toast. I had set up a fan but forgot to check if the power strip was actually working. Has anyone else lost a whole batch to a stupid mistake like that?

That 120 degree spike is brutal, I've been there with a greenhouse that hit 115 a few summers back. My pepper starts turned to mush in a single afternoon because a fan timer failed. It's the worst feeling coming back to crispy plants and kicking yourself over a dumb oversight like a dead power strip.

Oh man, did your power strip actually just betray you like that? Honestly, I once forgot to plug in my fan at all and came back to a greenhouse that looked like a scene from a plant horror movie. Ngl, I think I spent more time apologizing to my wilted basil than I did to my actual family that week. Tbh, it's always the dumbest little thing that gets you, like a dead battery in a thermostat or a timer you set for PM instead of AM. I still find crispy seedling ghosts in random pots and it brings back the shame.
