That week my basil plants all died on the same Wednesday
I had 12 basil seedlings going strong on my kitchen windowsill, and within 3 days every single one collapsed from damping off. Turns out I was overwatering like crazy because I thought they needed constant moisture. Has anyone else lost a whole batch of starts to something dumb like that?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I once drowned a whole tray of tomatoes because I thought "keep evenly moist" meant basically a swamp. They looked sad and floppy before I realized I was the problem.

@jennifer965 totally been there, I used to think "moist" meant the soil should look like a mud puddle. It's crazy how one little phrase can mess with your whole garden vibe.

@phoenix331 oh I feel that one, I spent an entire summer convinced my basil was being dramatic until I realized I was basically running a soup kitchen for roots.
