TIL the hard way about letting a homeowner 'help' with the mortar mix
Guy insisted on adding extra water to my mix at a job in Austin last summer. Said his dad was a mason back in the 80s. Ended up with a wall that sagged 2 inches after three days. Has anyone else had to redo work because a client messed with your materials?

The only person who should be adding water to my mix is me, buddy. I bet his dad also told him you can use motor oil for grill seasoning lol. At least now you have a funny story about how a wall learned to slouch.

Walls have feelings too, I guess my drywall work is pretty sketchy.
