3 months of frozen veggie scraps finally paid off, broth flavor shift is real
I started saving onion peels, carrot ends, and celery tops in a gallon bag back in January, figured it was silly but free. By April I had enough to simmer a stock that smelled like a restaurant kitchen, and the sad thing is my old $2 bouillon cubes taste like salty dirt now. Does anyone else do this, or am I just the weirdo with a freezer bag of trash that makes better soup?
