My $20 rice cooker ended a 5 year takeout habit

Used to order Chinese delivery at least twice a week, blowing like $45 each time in Austin. Picked up a basic 3-cup rice cooker for $20 at a garage sale and now I make curry, rice bowls, and even pasta in it. The change came when I realized the cooker does everything without me watching it, so I can prep veggies while it runs. Anyone else found one cheap appliance that killed their biggest food expense?
