The day I stopped buying pre-chopped veggies at Aldi
I used to grab those $3 bags of pre-chopped onions and peppers every week for my stir fry, thinking it saved me time... Last Tuesday I bought a whole onion and bell pepper for $1.20 and chopped them myself in 5 minutes. Has anyone else noticed how much those pre-cut bags really add up over a month?

It’s wild how little things like that add up to big money (and waste).

Oh man, my friend was telling me how she found out her bank was charging her a monthly "account maintenance fee" she didn't even know about, and it had been adding up to like $180 a year! It’s insane how those tiny fees just eat away at your money for nothing.

My old credit union charged me a $3 "inactivity fee" because I didn't use my debit card for 6 months. That's $36 a year for literally nothing. But here's the thing - I knew about it when I read the fine print opening the account. Most of these fees are buried in terms we all agree to without reading. I don't think it's right to call it a waste when the bank is being upfront about it on page 12 of their agreement. We just gotta take 10 minutes to actually check what we're signing up for.
