Watching my aunt feed 8 people on $40 changed how I shop
Last Thanksgiving my aunt cooked for all of us and she did it for about 40 bucks. I asked her how and she just said I don't buy anything that doesn't do double duty. She pointed at one roast chicken and said that's sandwiches tomorrow and stock the day after. Then she showed me her pantry with like 20 cans of beans and said those aren't for show. That stuck with me more than any budget app ever did. Anyone else have a relative who just quietly runs circles around your meal planning?
