Went to a farmers market in Portland and noticed a weird pricing thing
I hit up the farmers market in Portland last Sunday, looking for cheap veggies to stretch my grocery budget. What caught me off guard was how some stalls had crazy low prices on stuff like kale and carrots, almost half what you'd pay at the store. But other stalls right next to them were charging double for the same thing, just because they had a fancy sign or organic tags. I asked one guy selling tomatoes why his were $4 a pound while his neighbor had them for $1.50, and he just shrugged and said people pay for the vibe. It made me wonder if the whole farmers market thing is actually budget friendly or just another trap for people who don't look close enough. Has anyone else noticed this kind of price gap at their local market?

Right?! That vibe tax is real, people are literally paying extra for the experience.

And it's the same with everything now, you're just paying extra for a fancy label.
