Figured out a trick for meal prepping at the farmers market in SCV

I was at the Saturday market on Lyons Avenue last month and noticed this guy buying up all the bruised tomatoes and overripe avocados for like half price. He told me he makes salsa and guacamole right after and freezes them in portions. I tried it myself and saved about $15 a week on lunch ingredients. Anyone else got tips for buying the 'ugly' produce cheap?

omg that's such a smart hack tho. it's rough out here trying to eat healthy on a budget and those farmers market prices can be brutal.

Wait, you started buying frozen veggies in bulk? @james_singh7 how do you even have the freezer space for that, my tiny apartment freezer can barely hold a bag of peas. I guess that really adds up over time though, frozen stuff lasts forever and is way cheaper than fresh.
