Hit $63 a week in grocery savings just from shopping Sunday evenings at the Santa Clarita Vons
I started tracking my receipts 4 months ago and the total finally crossed $250 saved, all from grabbing the marked down meat and bakery stuff right before closing. The butcher there told me they do the final markdowns around 7pm on Sundays, and now I basically plan my whole week of dinners around it. Has anyone figured out which other stores around here have a set markdown schedule?

My buddy does the same thing at the Ralphs on Soledad and swears the meat gets marked down Tuesdays and Thursdays around 8am, not at night. He grabbed a pack of ribeyes for like 8 bucks last week. The bakery there is hit or miss though, sometimes its picked clean by 9.
