My dad told me to buy a $50 rice cooker and I thought he was nuts
He said it would cut our grocery bill by a third if we ate rice with every dinner. I argued that was boring and cheap, but we tried it for a month in our apartment. We spent $120 less on food just by making a big pot of rice and adding beans or frozen veggies. I was totally wrong, it's the easiest budget trick ever. Has anyone else had a simple food tip that actually saved real money?

Wait, you saved $120 in a single month just from rice and beans? That's a whole grocery trip for some people. My mind is blown that something so simple actually works that well. I gotta try this, my takeout budget is out of control.

But is saving that much really worth eating the same thing every day...
