My front load washer broke down after 6 years because I forgot to clean the drain pump filter
Last Tuesday I noticed my washing machine was making a grinding noise during the spin cycle. Turns out a bobby pin and some lint had jammed the pump filter. I spent 20 minutes fishing out the mess with a pair of pliers and now it runs fine. Anyone else forget about this maintenance step until something breaks?

Must be nice owning a machine that gives you a warning sound before exploding. Mine just stops mid cycle and acts like it's dead until I find the random sock that somehow migrated to the filter.

82% of the time that sock is mine. The other 18% is a dryer sheet that stuck to something and then decided to explore the machine's inner workings. I call it the Sock Migration Theory. Your machine is just trying to keep you humble.

That 18% dryer sheet thing got me. Your machine playing hide and seek with laundry.
