My grocery bill dropped $40 a week after I switched stores
I used to shop at Ralphs every Saturday and my total was always around $120 for just me. Then a friend told me to try Aldi over on Bouquet Canyon Road. After three weeks of shopping there, my weekly bill is now about $80 for pretty much the same stuff. The catch is you have to bring your own bags and some items are different brands. Has anyone else noticed a big difference switching stores in the SCV?

Actually Bouquet Canyon doesn't have an Aldi - you're probably thinking of the one on Soledad Canyon Road near the Staples. That one's been there for a few years and it's definitely a game changer for grocery bills around here. The brand switch is rough at first but after a while you figure out which Aldi stuff is just as good as name brand.

Wait, are you telling me I've been driving to the wrong Aldi this whole time? I thought Bouquet Canyon just had some secret Aldi I kept missing. Now that you mention it, the Soledad one is solid though - their knockoff Oreos are basically the same thing, just a little less sugar.

Wait, less sugar in a cookie? That's basically health food then!
