My grocery list method went from sticky notes to a $2 whiteboard

I used to rewrite my list every single week on scrap paper and still forget stuff, which meant extra trips to the store in Santa Clarita. Three months ago I picked up a small whiteboard from the dollar rack and stuck it on the fridge. Now I jot things down the second I run out, and I do one big shop on Sunday only. I also write the price next to each item so I can compare deals when I get there. It cut my food spending from around $480 a month to maybe $410 just from not impulse buying. Has anyone else tried a visible list instead of a phone app, or am I old school?

The "not impulse buying" part really hit home for me, that's where most of my grocery budget was leaking too. Seeing the list every time I open the fridge makes me pause and stick to it, instead of grabbing whatever looks good. Glad it's working for you, that's a solid system.
