Picked the $12 shampoo bar over the $8 bottle and here we are 3 months later

I had to choose between a Lush shampoo bar for $12 and a generic bottle for $8 at the Santa Clarita Walmart. The bar still has like half left and my hair feels less greasy, plus no plastic waste. Anyone else ditch liquid shampoos and find it actually saved them money long term?

Oh man, I totally get it! I switched to a shampoo bar about four months ago and my hair has never been happier, plus that thing is still going strong. It's wild how much longer they last compared to the bottles I used to burn through every few weeks.

Did you notice a difference in how much you actually need per wash compared to liquid shampoo? Because I feel like I use way less with the bar but I can't tell if that's just in my head or if the bars are more concentrated or something. Also does your bar ever get all slimy if it sits in a wet dish? Mine does and I have to keep moving it around to dry out or it turns into a weird mush.

Actually I gotta disagree a bit on the amount thing. I feel like I use the same or maybe even more with bars because you have to work up a good lather and sometimes I end up going over the same spot a few times. With liquid it just spreads easy. Plus the bar gets softer when its wet so more product comes off than you think. As for the slimy thing yep thats why I ditched mine. I got tired of the mush cycle. Some people swear by those special draining dishes but I just went back to liquid for that reason alone.
