I read somewhere that the average person uses like 500 plastic bags a year and each one gets used for maybe 12 minutes. That really stuck with me. So dropping $60 on a set of sturdy bags that you actually use sounds like a no brainer compared to that waste. Plus most stores give a 5 or 10 cent credit for bringing your own here, so it adds up quick. Did you get the ones that fold into a little pouch or the big canvas totes?

Oh I saw a study that said those thin plastic bags take like 1000 years to break down.

Haha my buddy bought the folding pouch ones and forgot they were in his backpack for like 3 months then pulled them out at the store covered in old granola crumbs. Still works though.
