The before and after of my grocery bill after I stopped shopping at the corner market

I started shopping at the Aldi down the street instead of that corner market and my weekly total dropped from $110 to $62 in just two weeks, but the real shock was finding out the corner market was charging double for everything because they knew we all lived in the same apartment complex, anyone else notice a huge markup at those little convenience stores in SCV?

Nah, that's just called convenience store pricing. They gotta cover the rent somehow. Not everything is some big conspiracy.

Man that's rough, finding out they were specifically overcharging your whole building feels pretty slimy. Aldi is a lifesaver for cutting costs though, I switched over a few months back and it's wild how much the little stuff adds up. Sorry you got taken advantage of like that, nobody needs that stress on top of everything else.

Yeah the "convenience store pricing" thing is real but when it's your whole building it still stings. I started keeping a running list on my phone of what stuff usually costs at Aldi vs the corner store and it's helped me pick my battles. You ever find yourself doing that math in your head too?
