Hit $5k in monthly side project revenue and now I'm questioning everything
Honestly, I was just messing around with a small building tool I made for contractors here in Phoenix, and it somehow crossed $5k a month last week. The thing is, I'm torn between putting all my time into scaling it up or keeping my regular job for stability. Has anyone else hit an unexpected milestone like this and had to decide between doubling down or playing it safe?

Ngl that's solid advice for now.

Wait, you got to $5k and you're thinking about quitting? I used to be on the "go all in" side but honestly seeing how unstable a lot of these side projects are changed my mind. I know a buddy who left his job for a $3k a month app and then got crushed when Google changed their algorithm. Your runway is way too short at $5k to make that jump.

gonna be real with you, $5k is nothing to sneeze at but it's also not "quit your day job" money yet. i'd keep both going until it hits at least $10-15k consistently for a few months before making any big moves.
