I finally saw the point of a dedicated builders forum after checking out the one in Austin

I used to think they were just for pros, but the local contractor chat there had a whole thread on sourcing reclaimed lumber under $5 a board foot. Anyone know a good spot in Dallas for the same?

What kind of reclaimed lumber are you looking for? That price is great for flooring grade oak but high for rough old barn pine. The good spots usually specialize.

The Reclaimed Lumber Association's site has a good directory by material type.

Check the salvage yards off Harry Hines. They get pallets of old flooring sometimes.
