Pro tip: use screws for cabinets, not the landlord special nails my old boss loved
I helped my buddy hang kitchen uppers in his garage in Boise last month, and he wanted to do it "quick" with 2 inch finish nails like his old boss taught him, and by day 3 two cabinets were sagging off the wall. We pulled them, found the nails had basically just poked through the drywall, and switched to 2.5 inch cabinet screws into the studs with a $9 countersink bit. Same cabinets, same wall, no sagging after 5 weeks. Funny part is his boss showed up to "inspect" and now wants the screw trick explained to him. What's your go-to fastener for wall cabinets, screws or something else?
