Question about the day I figured out my layout lines were off by a full foot
I was framing a shed in my backyard in Tulsa and kept wondering why my walls were racked no matter how careful I was. Turns out I'd been hooking my tape on the outside of the end plate instead of the inside corner, so every mark was off by about a foot before I even cut. A guy named Ray on a job once said 'hook it and burn an inch' and I blew it off, but that one tip would've saved me 3 days of rework. Anyone else have a dumb measuring habit that took a whole build to catch?
