Rant: I dropped $350 on a thermal camera for my shop and it found a hot spot in a panel I'd checked three times.
What's the weirdest thing your tools have caught that you missed?

Man, that "checked three times" part hits so close to home lol. I've had my meter pick up a weird voltage drop on a circuit that looked totally fine. It's wild how a new tool can show you something you were staring right past. Makes you feel a bit silly but also really glad you caught it. Those hot spots are no joke.

Ha, "a new way to miss the same old problem" - that's basically my entire tool buying strategy in a nutshell. Spent two hours yesterday with my fancy new clamp meter chasing a phantom voltage drop, only to realize I'd left a light switch on in the basement. Real professional stuff. You ever have a tool show you something that was actually a problem, or is it just a way to feel extra dumb about your own wiring?

Sometimes a fresh tool just gives you a new way to miss the same old problem.
