TIL the average thread on a big builders forum gets its first reply in under 90 seconds
Saw that stat in a report from ForumMetrics last month. Makes you realize how fast you gotta be to get good advice. Anyone know a quieter forum where the pros hang out?

That stat is actually about the first view, not the first reply. ForumMetrics tracks how fast a thread gets seen. Getting a useful answer usually takes way longer, especially for tricky problems. The fast forums are great for quick fixes, but the deeper advice comes from places where people take their time. You might want to look at smaller, niche forums for your specific trade. Those move slower but the signal-to-noise ratio is way better.

Oh good catch, I totally misread that. Yeah the smaller forums are where you actually learn stuff, even if you gotta wait a day for a reply.
