Showerthought: I skipped my best friend's wedding in Nashville to keep my lease, and now I wonder if I had it backwards
Six months ago my landlord in Austin wouldn't let me break my lease early, so I had to choose between losing my whole deposit plus fees or missing the wedding. I picked the lease, and she hasn't texted me since, which kind of tells me what that friendship was worth. Did anybody else pick money over a person and feel weirdly okay about it?
