Best week my shop ever had, then one phone call almost killed it
Last week we booked 9 jobs in 5 days, which never happens in February, and I was feeling pretty good about finally catching up on bills. Then Friday afternoon a guy calls and says our crew dropped a limb through his neighbor's fence in Fairview and he wants us to pay for it. Turns out it was a tree we never touched, his neighbor hired some other outfit, but he got our number off a truck down the street. I spent two hours on the phone with both of them and my insurance guy before anyone would admit the mistake. How do you all handle it when someone threatens to leave a bad review over a job that was never yours?
Did the neighbor actually confirm it was a different crew, or is he just going off what the guy told him? Get that in writing before you lose sleep over a review.
