Hired a social media manager for $500 a month and thought it was a waste until I saw my sales jump 40% in 3 months - has anyone else found a specific service they were skeptical about that actually paid off?
I was ready to cancel after the first month since the engagement was flat, but she showed me the data on how many people were actually clicking through to my site and that's what changed my mind.

Yo! I actually read this article the other day about how most people quit on marketing stuff way too early cause they expect instant results. The person who wrote it said the real magic happens after 60-90 days when the algorithm figures out who your audience is. Sounds like you got lucky with your manager being upfront about the data instead of just showing vanity metrics like likes. I bet a lot of those people who cancel after month one would see similar results if they just stuck it out a bit longer.

Honestly, I think you're pretty close but the algorithm thing isn't totally accurate. It's not like the algorithm just suddenly figures out your audience after 60 days. That's more about how long it takes for your content to actually get served enough times to people who care. The algorithm doesn't really "figure out" anything on its own, it just needs enough data points from people engaging to make better guesses. Tbh most of the magic in marketing is just understanding that nobody sees your stuff immediately, and it takes weeks of consistent posting before the platform even knows who to show it to.
