Hit 50 paying clients last month and it changed my whole approach
I run a small landscaping business in Phoenix and last month we crossed 50 regular clients for the first time. That number surprised me because I never thought we'd need to hire a part-time scheduler just to keep up with calls and visits. Has anyone else hit a milestone like this where you realized your old way of doing things just won't work anymore?

Hold on, a part-time scheduler? Like you actually have someone just answering phones and booking your lawn mowing?

Hang on a second, like you're telling me this person has someone on payroll just to handle calls for cutting grass? Man, I really need to get into the lawn care business if that's a thing now. Must be nice having a personal secretary for your mower!

Oh it's not a "personal secretary" kind of thing, it's more like a virtual assistant situation. My buddy who does landscaping has one of those online services where you pay like $300 a month and someone handles your booking calendar and customer calls. It's not like they're sitting in his office filing papers, it's all remote. The lady he uses works from home, answers calls during business hours, takes down addresses and whatnot, sends out appointment reminders. Honestly for how cheap it is compared to the money he saves not missing calls while he's out running a mower, it makes a lot of sense.
