My POS system went down on a Friday, worst possible timing
Last month our Square terminal froze right at 5pm rush at my sandwich shop in Portland. I had a line out the door and no way to take cards, so I switched to a paper ledger and a calculator. We managed to process 23 orders by hand while I frantically rebooted the thing, and luckily only 2 people walked off. Has anyone else had a payment system fail mid-shift? What's your backup plan, because mine clearly needs work.
