Switched from hourly billing to flat project fees 8 months ago

I used to track every 15 minute block for my graphic design clients and it drove me crazy. Now I just quote a flat $500 per logo package and charge half up front. Has anyone else tried this approach and found it cuts down on the back and forth about minor adjustments?

Whoa, you just gave clients a reason to second-guess every revision with that flat rate though.

Flat rates always scare me too, @sam17, like when my hose kinked mid-job and the client asked if that was part of my package.
