That accountant who told me to fire my first client was right
Back in 2018 I had this tiny bookkeeping gig in Austin, and one client paid late every single month, like 2 to 3 weeks past due. My accountant kept saying cut them loose, but I was scared to lose the $1,200 a month they brought in. Finally did it after 9 months of chasing invoices, and within 6 weeks I picked up two better clients who pay on time. The weird part is my stress level dropped way more than my income did, I actually made more money that year. Anyone else held onto a bad client out of fear and regretted waiting so long?

...heard some podcast recently talking about how letting go of bad clients is basically free money people leave on the table all the time. They said most folks overestimate the loss by like 3x or something. Took me way too long to learn that lesson myself honestly.
