That 'just raise your prices' advice from a mentor in Phoenix was dead wrong for me

He kept saying nobody notices a 10% bump, so I raised my rates on a batch of 45 invoices. In two weeks I lost 7 regulars who'd been with me for years. Has anyone else had this backfire when their core clients are price sensitive?
