The before and after on my bakery's social media after I stopped posting at 8am
I run a small bakery in Portland and for 6 months I was posting at 8am every day, getting maybe 20 likes. Then I read some post about posting times for food businesses and switched to 11am posts. First week I got 150 likes on a photo of scones. After 3 months of sticking to 11-1pm posts, my orders jumped by 40 percent. I think people are just eating lunch and scrolling instead of rushing in the morning. Has anyone else seen a big change just from switching up when you post?

Honestly that's a wild jump just from shifting hours. Did you change anything about the actual content of the posts like the captions or the photos themselves, or was it literally just the time you hit post? Because 20 likes to 150 feels like more than just timing, maybe your 11am crowd is just more likely to actually tap a heart while they're eating.

Wait, did you check if the 11am posts also got more comments or shares, or just likes? Because if engagement overall went up, it might be that the lunch crowd is actually reading your captions and clicking through to order, not just double-tapping while they eat.
