The day I stopped hand-writing inventory sheets like a maniac

I used to sit there every Sunday night with a clipboard and count every single widget by hand at my little shop in Portland, took like 4 hours easy. Then I finally caved and got a barcode scanner app after my back started hurting from bending over boxes. Has anyone else made the switch and felt stupid for not doing it sooner?

Actually I'm going to push back on this one because writing everything down by hand is what made me catch mistakes and truly know my stock. When you scan stuff you lose that gut feeling you had for what's actually on your shelves. I tried a scanner for two months and went right back to my clipboard.
