Tried bartering services with a local bakery and it backfired hard
I own a small accounting firm in Provo Utah and thought I'd trade tax prep for free pastry for my team. After 3 months they stopped honoring the deal saying my work wasn't worth what they gave. Now I'm out $1,200 in lost revenue and have an awkward relationship with a neighbor business. Has anyone else had barter arrangements go sour?

Oh "your work wasn't worth what they gave" - that's a HORRIBLE way to treat a neighboring business. Really feel for you on this one because it puts you in such an awkward spot with someone you see around town. @felix824 mentioned his barber ghosting his buddy and honestly this bakery behavior is even worse since at least the barber just stopped answering instead of basically insulting what you offered.

My buddy tried trading handyman work for haircuts and the barber stopped answering his calls after two months.
