A guy at a Des Moines trade show said he fires vendors who reply in under 10 minutes
I was standing near the coffee stand at a small business expo in Des Moines last month and overheard two owners going back and forth. One of them said he drops any vendor who answers his emails in under 10 minutes because it tells him they're not busy enough to have real clients. I always thought fast replies were the whole point of good service, so that hit me sideways. Now I'm wondering if I've been reading speed as a good sign when it might mean the opposite. Has anyone actually tested this with their own vendors or clients?
