Can we talk about the $400 I dropped on a bookkeeper in 2019?
I ran my little detailing business out of a garage in Tucson and did all my own invoices in a spiral notebook for almost 4 years. Got tired of chasing late payers so I paid a bookkeeper $400 a month starting in 2019, which felt like a lot back then. She lasted 7 months, mixed up two clients with the same first name, and sent a $1,800 invoice to a guy who owed me $90. I went back to doing it myself on a $12 spreadsheet template I found on a forum. Now I wonder if the problem was her or if I just wasn't ready to hand that part off. Anyone here actually made the jump to paying someone and had it work out?
