Am I the only one who thinks Yeti cups are overpriced junk?
I bought a 20oz Yeti mug last month for $40, and after two weeks the lid seal started leaking coffee all over my desk in Austin. I went back to my $8 Ozark Trail cup from Walmart, and it's held up better for 3 years straight. Has anyone else had quality drop on Yeti stuff lately?

My 2019 Yeti mug went through a dishwasher cycle every day for 4 years with zero lid failure, so maybe you just got a defective one. Did you try contacting their warranty or did you toss it immediately?

My Ozark Trail cup outlasted two Yetis before I finally gave up on them.

I gotta push back on that "outlasted" part. Yetis might dent if you drop them on concrete, but in my experience, the plastic lid on an Ozark Trail cup starts cracking after a few months of regular use. Plus, the insulation on my Ozark Trail mug wasn't as consistent. I'd pour hot coffee in it and within an hour it was lukewarm, while my old Yeti kept it hot for at least three hours. Maybe you got lucky with a good one, but I've seen more Ozark Trail cups get thrown away after a season than Yetis that actually failed.
