Got my hands on a vintage Pyrex measuring cup at a garage sale in Portland last Saturday

I was digging through a pile of old kitchen stuff and found a clear Pyrex 500ml measuring cup from the 70s... no cracks, just some fading on the red lines. The lady selling it wanted 2 bucks, so I grabbed it without thinking. Took it home and tested it against my modern Pyrex and the old one poured way smoother, no drips down the side. I used it to make pancake batter this morning and felt like it was built for life compared to the new one I had. Anyone else notice older Pyrex feels sturdier or is it just me?

My buddy Mike grabbed one just like that at a flea market. @jordang32 said 2 bucks is a steal. He brought it home and his girlfriend tried to throw it in the microwave. He screamed at her. The old Pyrex isn't tempered for that like new stuff. She got all mad but he stood his ground. That cup is still in his cabinet today, perfect shape.
