My $12 spatula from Target lasted longer than my $60 one from a fancy kitchen store

I bought a silicone spatula at Target about 4 years ago for $12 and it still looks brand new. The $60 one I got from a specialty shop started cracking at the handle after 6 months. My mom always told me price doesn't mean quality, but I had to learn the hard way. Has anyone else found cheap kitchen tools that outlast the expensive versions?

So your $60 spatula thought it was too fancy to hold together. Guess it just couldn't handle being around food like a normal person's tool.

Funny, @jordang32, I bought a cheaper metal one years back and it's still going strong. Guess sometimes the simple stuff just holds up better.
