My $30 chef knife finally kicked it after 8 years

I bought this Victorinox knife back in 2017 for a catering job in Portland. Used it every single day, sharpened it maybe twice a year with a cheap stone. Last week the tip snapped off when I dropped it in the sink. Honestly I got way more than my money's worth out of it. Anyone else have a budget kitchen tool that just wouldnt die?

My buddy had this $15 rice cooker from Target that lasted him through two cross country moves and five roommates. The nonstick was totally wrecked but it still cooked rice perfect. He only replaced it because his girlfriend bought him a new one for his birthday.

My dad still uses one from 1998 with electrical tape holding the handle on.
