Warning: That $15 epoxy repair kit turned my mug into a permanent paperweight
Bought a cheap kit off Amazon to fix a crack in my favorite coffee mug, and the epoxy never cured right - now it's sticky and gross after 3 washes. Anyone else have luck with a specific brand that actually works on ceramic?

Nah, stick with food-safe epoxy like JB Weld for ceramics, it'll cure hard every time.

...and that reminds me of the time I tried fixing a cracked mug with regular super glue, not realizing it wasn't food safe. I used it for coffee the next day and the whole thing just kind of peeled off in. like. little flakes. Kinda gross honestly. So yeah, @the_lucas is spot on with the JB Weld recommendation, I learned that lesson the hard way.

Wait, it actually peeled off in little flakes while you were drinking? That's horrifying, I'd be scared of swallowing tiny glue bits with my coffee.
