Why does nobody talk about Coleman stoves falling apart after one season?

I picked a Coleman propane stove over a Camp Chef last summer cuz it was $40 cheaper, now the knob is stripped and the burner rusted through after 4 camping trips. Anyone else have luck getting Coleman to replace junk like this under warranty?

My buddy bought one last spring and by August the regulator was shot and Coleman basically told him tough luck. I'd say you're better off just buying something better than trying to fight their warranty.

Funny you say that, because I've had the exact opposite experience with Coleman. Picked up a dual fuel model back in 2020 and it's still cranking like the day I bought it, used it every hunting season and a few power outages too. Maybe your buddy just got a lemon or didn't clean the regulator after a dusty trip... I've read that a lot of those failures come from people not bleeding the line before storing it. Plus, for the price point, you're kind of gambling with a budget brand, but Coleman's always treated me alright when I actually called them.

Wait, does that mean I've been treating my appliances better than I treat my own body? Tbh I'm the one who leaves lines unbled and ends up on the couch with back pain, so maybe your buddy and I should swap maintenance routines.
