Had a client yell at me about a drawer face gap and it totally changed my assembly method

So I had this kitchen job in a Victorian house up in Portland, real picky homeowner. I delivered the cabinets and she zeroed in on a 1/16 inch gap on one drawer front, said it looked sloppy. I was pretty defensive at first, thinking that's within tolerance. But she pulled out a feeler gauge and showed me it was 1.5mm, not even a 16th. I felt like an idiot. Anyways, I went back to the shop and started using a spacer block system when I attach drawer faces, instead of just eyeballing it with a square. Now I check every single gap with a feeler gauge before I even send the job out. Has anyone else had to add a super precise step after a customer callout like that?

Honestly, did she call out the gap before or after you installed everything?

Yeah but @betty_palmer she probably didn't notice the gap til AFTER the install was done and dusted.
