Lost a whole Saturday chasing a hinge pattern that did not exist

Last month I drove out to a job in Fort Worth, and the homeowner swore her cabinet doors were all 'off by a quarter inch.' I measured every single door, about 40 of them, and they were dead on. Turns out she was looking at the shadow line from her pendant lights in the kitchen. I packed up my gear after 6 hours and charged her a service call anyway. Has anyone else had a client fight you on a measurement that the tape proves is fine?
