Shoutout to the guy at the yard who said 'just cut it again' when my mitered frame was off by a hair

That 'hair' was a full 1/16th and fixing it meant re-milling all four pieces of 8-foot walnut, which took me the entire afternoon. What's your go-to fix for a perfect miter that's just slightly out of square?

Holy cow, a full 1/16th? That's not a hair, that's a whole gap! That "just cut it again" advice is brutal for walnut. My go-to fix for a tiny bit off is to sneak up on it with a shooting board and a hand plane. You can shave off those paper-thin slices until it's dead on, without having to re-cut the whole piece. Saves so much time and wood.

A shooting board is a total game changer for dialing in those final cuts.

Why not just start fresh with a perfect cut instead of fiddling around?
