Warning: Cheap drawer slides cost me $300 in rework

I bought a bulk pack of those no-name side mount slides off Amazon for like $40. Within 3 months half of them were sticking so bad drawers would barely slide. Had to rip out all 12 drawers, buy a proper set of Blum slides for $260, and eat a weekend of labor. Anyone else get burned by trying to save a few bucks on hardware?

Those slides are a perfect time capsule of what happens when you chase trends without thinking. Every pair of those neon green and orange things reminds me of a Thursday night I'd rather forget. Keeping them around just lets you laugh at how ridiculous you used to be, and honestly that's a good thing. The real poor choice would've been tossing proof that you survived the 80s fashion circus.
