Downtown Portland install at that new high rise was a mess
I just finished a 3 day job at the Weston building on 5th Ave, and I have to say I disagree with everyone raving about those pre-terminated fiber runs. We had 12 drops go bad because the factory ends were dirty out of the box. Spent an extra afternoon re-terminating them myself when I could have just run regular cable and ended it right the first time. Has anyone else had trouble with those pre-made assemblies on a multi-floor job?

Were those factory ends sealed with caps when they arrived or just loose in the bag?

Oh yeah, loose in a bag with no caps, that's just asking for trouble.

Loose in a bag with no caps" reminds me of the time I bought a bag of assorted screwdrivers from a flea market. Guy just threw them in a grocery bag, all jumbled up. Got home and found one of the tips had poked right through the bag and dug a nice little scratch in my countertop before I even opened it. Plus there was a random loose screw rolling around in the bottom that had nothing to do with anything. Total mess. Now I always bring my own ziplocs or containers when I get stuff like that.
