Kept hearing zip ties were a hack, then a guy in Dayton showed me his van after 8 years
For years I rolled my eyes at installers who swore by zip ties for coax runs, figured velcro was the only way to go and ties would crush the cable. Then last month a tech named Ray in Dayton pulled open his panel from a job he did back in 2016, 8 years of Ohio summers and winters, and every tie was still holding clean with no pinching. Now I'm stuck between sticking with velcro or giving ties another shot. What's your rule, do you tie tight or leave a little slack?
