Old coax in a 1980s house beat new fiber today
Spent the morning in Glendale on a service call. House from the 80s. The old RG59 was beat up, paint on it, looked terrible. But my meter showed 0.2 dB loss over the whole run. New fiber I put in last week was worse at the connector. Sometimes the old stuff just holds up better. Anyone ran into old coax that works too good to rip out?
